Birmingham Airport’s new Environment Manager rises through the ranks

Fri 2 Sept 2011 – The UK’s Birmingham Airport has promoted its Environment Monitoring Officer, Kirstin Kane (right), as its new Environment Manager. Kane joined the airport in 2000 and has risen through the environmental team’s ranks. She is tasked with ensuring the airport meets its environmental responsibilities and to work closely with local residents and play an active role in the community. “Having been at the airport for the last 11 years, I feel I can now bring all this experience to my new role,” she says. “The airport takes its responsibilities incredibly seriously and prides itself on the good relationships it has built up with the local community. I look forward to continuing this good work.”
